6th Annual IIES Science & Policy Workshop | Online

This year we have adjusted our annual workshop format to ensure the safety of our participants. We are pleased to offer a versatile, innovative virtual workshop, held on January 22-23, 2021.

The meeting will include a mix of pre-recorded, on-demand presentations, and live sessions to accommodate various time zones. The program offers a series of two-hour sessions that highlight dynamic live plenary speakers and discussion sessions exploring research at participating institutions within the IIES community.

SESSIONS

Each day will offer two to three half-hour sessions, chaired by a faculty member from an IIES member institution. The chairs have organized their sessions thematically around a series of talks showcasing their institution’s research.

Friday, January 22, and Saturday, January 23, 2021.

FORMAT

The 6th Annual Workshop has a unique website this year and acts as the landing page for our participants. It includes the workshop schedule, abstracts, and all pre-recorded talks.

Plenary talks will be live and held via ZOOM on January 22 and 23, followed by the Workshops Sessions. Presenters will share a brief overview of their longer pre-recorded talks, which participants will have viewed on their own time via the workshop website.

Following the short talks will be a live 15-minute discussion period, open to all. Participants may “raise their hand” or ask questions via chat.

Pre-recorded talks will be available for viewing from January 8, 2021, onward.
