The sulfur-associated wastewater treatment such as sulfide-driven autotrophic denitrification by SOB, anaerobic organic removal by SRB and PPCP removal by SRB and SOB; High nitrogen- and organic-laden wastewater treatment such as landfill leachate treatment and kitchen wastes anaerobic digestate treatment.

Removal of nitrogen and phospurous in municipal wastewater treatment; Research on emerging pollutants, including distribution, toxicity and remediation.
