Who We Are
We are the International Institute for Environmental Studies (IIES). The IIES has grown out of international collaborations among a number of universities around the globe that have leading programs in environmental science, engineering and policy.

General
The IIES respects your privacy and complies with all legislative requirements regarding its protection. We will never share your personal information with any outside parties.
Your personal information will be used only for the express purpose for which it was given. If at any point, you wish your personal information to be removed from our records, simply contact us and let us know.
When visitors use our site we track each visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to improve security and performance and help spam detection.
Release of Personal Information
The IIES does not disclose personal information in the records we maintain except:
- for the purpose for which it was obtained or compiled;
- where the person to whom the information relates has consented to its disclosure;
- for the purpose of complying with an Act of the Legislature, an Act of Parliament or a Court Order;
- in compassionate circumstances, to facilitate contact with the next of kin or a friend of an individual who is injured, ill or deceased.

By registering and attending any of the IIES events including but not limited to workshops and graduate student forums, you give permission to the IIES the irrevocable right to use your name/photograph/image/audio recording/video recording/ and likeness (“Your Image”) in all forms and manner, including but not limited to publication on Internet Websites, broadcasts, social media, and any other publications as released to or by the IIES. You understand that the IIES cannot control the unauthorized use of Your Image by persons not associated with the IIES once Your Image has been published. You waive any right to inspect or approve any publication of Your Image by the IIES. If you do not wish to have Your Image published as stated above, a written request must be sent to the IIES directly by email to .
