Student Perspective
By: Thiare Carrasco-Delgado, Master’s in Environmental Management | Universidad San Sebastián, Chile
The experience was very enriching, being surrounded by great researchers and academics was a privilege, the community is very friendly and open to collaboration. The experience of getting to know another continent, ecosystems and vegetation is amazing, both for the culture and the language. One of the things that caught my attention was to know a country so different geographically and yet the environmental problems were similar in several aspects to my country, so we must continue to collaborate to generate knowledge and solutions that help in the preservation of the environment.

The International Institute of Environmental Studies along with my Master’s program in Environmental Management were of great help to be able to attend this event, because they created alliances that allow us to participate in these instances of dialogue and learning.

I recommend this experience to all professionals and students who are passionate about the fight against climate change, being able to interact with other young people with the same concerns and worries about environmental issues is encouraging. Debating with experienced professors and researchers creates an environment of learning, communication and exchange of opinions at a specialized level of thought. All those participating in this forum are professionals open to collaboration and reflection, who build multidisciplinary bridges that support your work through constructive feedback and ideas. Offered with respect and grounded in experience, their contributions are, in my opinion, of great value to the advancement of your research or studies.
