Delegates from Trent University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) and Phenikaa University, one the IIES’ newest members, connected during the annual meeting of the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE2025) in Québec City, Canada this November.
Strengthening Partnerships between Vietnam and Canada
Jade Ngoc Vu, Deputy Head of External Engagement Office at Phenikaa University, and Dr. Scott Henderson, Vice-President and Head of Trent University Durham, took this opportunity to discuss potential partnerships between the two institutions. A first step of many to forming a detailed collaborative plan between Trent University and Phenikaa University.
The two representatives explored several opportunities for collaborations and student exchanges, including short-term programs (2–3 weeks), semester-based, and co op/internship placements. Representatives from the two universities will meet again at Phenikaa University’s annual international conference this summer to further strengthen academic and research exchanges.
