The International Institute for Environmental Science (IIES) is honoured to have been awarded the Jiangsu Province International Science and Technology Cooperation Award in China. The award has been made to our director Dr. Douglas Evans, on behalf of the IIES. The award is the highest honour given to an international recipient in China’s Jiangsu Province. While the award was presented to Professor Evans, it recognizes the efforts of the entire IIES organization in advancing international cooperation with many Chinese organizations but especially with Nanjing University.

Nanjing University, along with Trent University, were founding members of the IIES. Nanjing University nominated the IIES for the award. “The Institute is pleased that our efforts in promoting international collaboration in environmental science and policy, particularly in China, have been recognized in this way,” said Dr. Evans. The IIES continues to deliver opportunities for students and faculty to be involved in international research among its 21-member institutions.
